I/ITSEC 2017

I/ITSEC 2017 was a great show for PLW Modelworks.  Our industry leading 3D city models were being shown in many booths at the show because our high-fidelity city models are a great compliment to IG and Display companies providing for a great looking demonstration.  Firms like AECOM, Boeing, Diamond Visionics, RSI, Bohemia Interactive, Concurrent, Quantum 3D, Canon, DPI, Scalable, Easterline and others were showing PLW 3D city models in the demonstrations.

Flying with Birdly

PLW had around 400 people stop to chat with us and ride the Birdly, a fully immersive bird flight simulator!  We always enjoy discussing our 3D models at I/ITSEC and telling visitors about new service offerings we have.  We create new technology to meet the needs of our clients and this year were able to show some examples of integrating street level collected imagery into our model, providing building material classification to our model and providing our model with night textures.  We created the ability to integrate the mobile imagery collected data to be able to have superior fidelity at street level for a street level simulation and the building material classification and night scenes so that our flight simulation customers could utilize our models in multi-sensors and 24/7 365.  We would be happy to talk to you about your specific needs and how PLW can provide you a 3D model solution.

We were utilizing Birdly to highlight our New York City model and a “Superman” style flying VR app for highlighting several other of our models including Philadelphia with street level imagery, Dubai, and Boston with night scenes.  We were told by many people that Birdly was the best thing on the show floor.  Thank you to all who stopped by.
